This course is designed for the children who already know the Cyrillic alphabet (k-1).
The main objectives of the class are the following: to build up reading skills and techniques, to consolidate the knowledge of vowels and consonants sounds and letters, to introduce to the children the notion of syllable as a part of a word and a sentence as a syntactic unit of the Russian Language.
The skills of writing in capital letters will be consolidated. Suggested exercises contribute to the development of attention, memory, thinking, coherent speech and enrich the vocabulary of the children.
The teacher opens up to the youngsters wonderful world of Russian letters making the lessons an interesting and fun game.
Russian for Kids – Level II
This course is designed to take some initial steps in order to make your child an avid reader.
One of the course objectives is to teach children the correct, fluent, meaningful and expressive reading.
The children will learn the script and they will be able to write short sentences in Russian with limited accuracy.
Another aspect of this class is to introduce the students to the creative writing by presenting them a very short stories as a template for their own writing discourses.
Russian for Kids – Level III
The main goals of this class are to bring the vocabulary to the higher level, to improve oral communication skills, to acquire ability to speak logically, to choose the exact words to describe objects and phenomena.
The second goal, no less important than the first, is to reach the age appropriate proficiency in reading and writing, and to familiarize the students with the classical and modern Russian literature for children.
The course is built on a diverse, carefully selected works of famous writers and poets.
